Getting to Château La Durantie…

We recommend flying into Paris and traveling to the château by train. The nearest stop, Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche, is just a 20-minute taxi ride away. Once you arrive at the château, we’ve arranged transportation between events and accommodations for the weekend.

If you’d like to explore the beautiful Périgord region, we recommend renting a car or arranging a taxi for added flexibility.

You’ll find more detailed instructions based on your mode of transportation listed below. If you have any questions or need help with arrival and departure plans, please reach out to hello@rachaelellenevents.com.

TAXI & RIDE-SHARING APPS

Since the château is in the countryside, it’s important to book taxis well in advance. When making a reservation, provide your mobile number and the château’s address:

Château La Durantie
24270 Lanouaille, Dordogne, France

Ride-sharing apps like Uber and Bolt are not commonly available in rural areas, so pre-arranging a taxi is the best way to ensure a smooth journey.

Here are some reliable taxi services:

  • Taxi Julienne (Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche) – +33 5 55 08 12 63

  • Taxis Stephane (Thiviers) – +33 6 07 48 60 64

  • Taxi Christophe (Excideuil area) – +33 6 33 14 46 85

Please note: These drivers are unlikely to speak English. If you need help arranging transportation, feel free to contact our wedding planner at hello@rachaelellenevents.com.
